We had learned this week things about major and minor scales. Before this week, I had just known about minor scales. I obviously already knew about major scales because they are our regular scales. What I learned about minor scales are that they are the major(scale) la(6th note of the scale) and that they turn into minor(scale) do(tonic/first note). For example, in the B flat scale, the major la is G and that makes it become the do or the tonic of the minor scale. There is a major relationship between major and minor scales. The relationship is that they SHARE the same key signature.
