In the song "Rejoice The Season", there's G.P. in measure 72. I have just learned that it means a grand pause. I have never in all my years of band played that ever. We have had little ones that we wrote in there, but nothing like this. I'm very interested in learning more about this.
In "How The Grinch Stole Christmas", measures 31 and 43 start a line of measures that confuses me a little bit. It starts out with a C# and I don't think I have ever played that note before in concert music. I know that I will eventually get it while we play it, but as of right now, I hope to learn more about it.
Taking a look at "Once in Royal David's City", I'm not that much confused. I'm just a little iffy about it because basically the whole song is fasy rythym and when I play it fast I don't really get it that well, but when I play it slowly I do.
We just played our first "read through" of "Rejoce The Season". In my own opinion, it went horribly. I probably played it 10% correctly. We weren't in tune and we weren't in sync.
